Our Products

At Earthbar, we handcraft a range of beauty products that are 100% naturally derived and vegan. We believe in creating uncompromisingly ethical products that are good for you, good for your soul and good for the planet.

Our ‘back to basics’ approach is critical at every step of our process. We rely on ancient methods to create our soaps and skincare products. Our products are made using vegetable oils and vegan butters - plus heavenly essential oils - so they smell gorgeous and offer a great lather.

Locally sourced products are also important to us. We use homegrown lemons, oranges and lavender straight from Christie’s orchard to make our beauty products, where possible. Some of our carrier oils are infused using leaves from kawakawa trees on Christie’s property too.

Our Founder

Our founder, Christie Rishworth, is a proud mum to three teenagers and a menagerie of pets, including sheep, quails, chickens, Indie the cat, and Beau the retrodoodle dog. When she’s not creating her products in the laundry, you’d usually find her spending time with either her human or fur family members, or tending to the fruit in her mature orchard.

Christie dived headfirst into the creation of her ethical vegan products after a painful, 9-month battle with scarlet fever and a secondary skin rash. After trying countless products (many of which made the painful rash worse), she discovered that her homemade kawakawa skin balm soothed her skin far more effectively than anything else. Following her recovery, she started looking into what usually goes into beauty products and realised that there was a better way.

Since establishing Earth Bars, Christie has dedicated herself to making high-quality vegan products that are accessible to everyone. Her passion for her craft is as evident in her traditional process as it is in her divine products.
